Basic shipping information.

We want to ensure that every item you order from our shop gets to you safely and at the best price possible. To do this we use different packaging methods for each item, all of which has been tried, tested and safely sent around the world many times over (A short explanation of how each item will be packaged is provided under the “shipping” section which can be found towards the bottom of each item listing). We do our best to keep our shipping charges as low as possible by using the standard services of Royal Mail (which is the national postal service in the UK) for both local and international orders - but in some cases we do offer the option to choose between their standard and premium services. Charges are calculated according to the approximate weight of your parcel during checkout and is based on the shipping prices set by Royal Mail.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
You can see the international destinations that we currently ship to under the 'shipping' section of each listing. If your country is not listed under the item you would like to order, please contact us and we will do our best to find a viable shipping solution for you.
Please note that we are required by law to write the contents of your order on the parcel (stating quantities, values etc.), or supply it digitally, to comply with customs regulations whenever we send a parcel to an address outside of the UK. In the case of free or discounted items, we might still be required to list the full retail price instead of the discounted price.
Depending on your country, your parcel may be subject to taxes/import duties/handling fees charged by your country's customs services upon collection/deliver of your parcel - and any such charges are your responsibility. Please note that we cannot refund any shipping costs if a parcel is returned to us for failure to pay said charges. Please refer to your country’s customs office (or government website) to find out if you will be subject to any such changes when receiving a parcel from the UK.
If there are any specific or additional requirements for your country's customs office, please contact us before placing an order to confirm that we can comply with this and so that we can ensure your parcel get to you with any delays.


EUROPEAN UNION
Please use our off-site Etsy store for any order going to the EU.
Since the UK left the European Union (EU), all parcels sent from the UK to a country within the EU are now subject to customs checks as well as tariffs and fees. Unfortunately, there are some 'teething problems' with this process that is currently causing various issues. The most common are significant delivery delays with parcels held up at customs offices for days, and sometime even weeks - and in the case of challenged or unpaid tariffs/fees, parcels are returned to us, leaving both us and our clients out of pocket, which we simply cannot afford.

There are, however, some large online shopping platforms that has an arrangement with the customs service whereby they collect any tariffs/fees on behalf of the customs office during checkout, and then pay the fees directly to them, which speeds up the process, eliminates many of the delays, and reduces the risk of returned parcels significantly. Unfortunately, as independent artists with a small online shop, we simply cannot do this. However, Etsy (which is one of the largest online shopping platforms for arts and crafts) has an arrangement like this with the EU customs service, and we do sell a selection of our items on their platform as well. So, for the time being, we will no longer ship to the EU via our webshop, but via our Etsy store instead. You can find it at: www.etsy.com/shop/thePicseeShop and you can also find an Etsy link on most of the listing on our website (just above the 'technical details' section of each listing). Please do note that most of our items are a bit more expensive on Etsy than they are here on our website, this is due to additional fees that we are charged to sell on their platform.


Dispatch & Shipping times

Depending on the amount of orders, we usually take two trips to the post office each week which means your parcel should be in to post and on its way to you within 1-3 working days. All parcels are shipped from our workshop in Scotland (UK) via Royal Mail (which is the national postal service in the UK). We use their standard service (unless specifically stated otherwise in the listing) to keep the shipping costs affordable to everyone. The delivery times for this service is reasonable and parcels are usually delivered within their estimated delivery times. Do keep in mind that this is a standard mail service and therefore does not include tracking, so please make sure you check the estimate delivery times for your country below.

We do not offer an express shipping option for international orders because of the high costs and environmental impact of these services. If, for any reason, you do require a fast option please contact us before placing an order and we'll do our best to find a solution for you.

Here are the estimate delivery times:

     UK 1st Class:1 – 2 working days
UK 2nd Class:2 – 3 working days
International:7 – 15 working days

Please note that Royal Mail has no influence over the postal processes in other countries, therefore the above times are only estimates, and the number of days may differ. Customs handling, Local holidays, strikes or other unforeseen events (both in the UK and the destination county) can sometimes also cause unavoidable delays.


Multiple Items & Discounts

Our shipping cost are based on weight which means you can save on postage when you order multiple items together, and quite often items will be shipped along with other items at no additional cost at all. For example: When you order a fridge magnets, which weighs about 40g it falls into is the 0-99g weight category. If you then add a set of postcards (+15g) the weight of your order will be about 55g which still falls within the 0-99g category, so it will costs you nothing extra to include the badges.

We are also happy to say that we now offer free UK shipping on order over £15 (please note that this does not apply to art prints).

When multiple items are ordered together they will usually all be sent in one parcel and the packaging method and/or materials that are used to make up this parcel may therefore differ to that specified under the “shipping” section of each listing. In some cases an order may be sent in more than one parcel, at no extra cost to you, to ensure each item reaches you safely.


Postage & Packaging Cost.

We keep our postage and packaging cost as low as possible and only charge the actual amount needed to send you the parcel (based on current postage costs, which can be seen here on Royal Mail's website ). The post office use different "weight categories" and our postage and packaging costs are therefore based on these. The shipping cost for your order will automatically be calculated at checkout (you'll see this in the step after entering the delivery address, which is needed to caluclate the cost) but you can see what an idividual item's shipping cost is visiting that product’s page and scrolling down to the shipping section.


Returns and exchange details.

We really want every item that you buy in our store to be something that you can treasure. It is therefore very important to us that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. If this is not the case and there is any item with which you are not entirely happy, please contact us right away and we will do our very best to rectify the problem. If we are for some reason not able to resolve the problem we will be happy to offer you a refund subject to the following conditions: You must notify us of any problem with your order and/or request a refund within 7 days of receipt. All the items for which you would like to be refunded must be returned to us, at your expense (unless the item in question was incorrect or defective), in an unused and undamaged condition.
Please note: Do not return any items before contacting us first, we will give you detail of how and where to send the goods.
The refund will be made within 14 days of receipt of the returned goods. We can only refund postage and packaging charges if we sent you an incorrect or defective item. Please note if your items are sent with any non standard shipping options per your request the shipping costs cannot be refunded.

We cannot refund any custom-made, made to order or personalised items, special orders and digital content.
